Excellent Product

Did exactly what it was supposed to do. The flexible line makes it much easier to hook up the water heater without having to be too accurate on where the plumbing lines come down.

don't stay in shape

they work as long as the first 2" from the nut is perfectly straight. The problem is if you bend them in a horseshoe or an "s" shape as soon as you let go it wants to straighten out. It takes a decent amount of force to stay in the shape you bent it and this puts pressure on what you are connecting to. Other than these issues, they do work. What I've learned over the years is that leaks has a lot to do with the quality of the rubber washer inside of these various brands of flex lines. The worst of them have hard washers that don't seal well, and the best of them have very soft rubber washers that seal easily. These do have decent washers, just really hard to bend the line and doesn't hold its shape.

Product seems okay. I wish the labels removed cleanly.

I recently ordered several of these to hookup a well water treatment system. Product was easy to install and bend. My only gripe is that the labels do not peel off cleanly. You end up with impossible to remove paper/adhesive residue.

The gasket is only about 1/2", so it will reduce flow

Seems like you can bend it in a U-Shape so long as your fittings are about 5-6" apart at least you should be ok. If they are closer it might be sketchy. I just didn't like the gasket. Why buy a 1" water connector if you are only going to get a 1/2" flow out of it.

I will buy again.

This was just what I needed,, except I would love a more flexable version of this same fitting . I found it for the PEX piping but not for the pvc, but all in all its a very durable product and I am happy with the performance.

Cheap, but risk of leakage later.

Have had several reworks on these leaking out of the gaskets after a couple of months. They are cheap but it's not worth the risk of a callback. Will not be using them again.

Q: Anyone know what the minimum recommended bend radius is? I see a review mentioning 3" but nothing in the product literature. I'm planning for a softener installation and may be borderline between 18" vs 24" lines. Thanks.

The manufacturer does not have a minimum recommended bend radius.
