Yes, this unit works reasonably well. I chose it over using high-efficiency, 3M Allergan filters because the 3M filters raised the head pressure on my air handler because they were so dense. However, they worked quite well. This unit works reasonably well: with the filters I never had to dust, with this system, I dust monthly. Before either, it was a weekly task. If you do purchase, be careful cleaning it and re-installing the cells-it can be finicky in that regard. In my research, this was the largest residential unit I found that wouldn't break the bank.
it works fine at my home T-Mobile. America’s First Nationwide 4G Network
Dont know about dust reduction. However I use it to clean the air going into the furnace and that is what it is for.
I have had this filter in my house for about 20 years. I run my furnace fan 24 hours a day 7 days a week. It does have a pre and post filter. The main cells need to be washed at least once a year. You will be surprised on how much dirt and micro particles will be in the water after you wash the cells. You will always have dust on your surfaces, but the dust will be greatly reduced especially if the fans runs all the time and if you change or clean the cold air return filter monthly.
No. This product just comes with the metal frame, controller board, and metal carriages.
No, not at all. Inside the cage it’s a pre-filter and electrostatic cell, nothing else.

Media filters are not washable and should be replaced at least once a year (preferably twice -- once prior to heating season and once prior to cooling season).
The F300E1035 is an enhanced filtration unit. It has higher fractional efficiency and static pressure drop ratings than the F300A2025.
Please refer to page 5 of the following manual for the precise dimensions of the unit: http://s3.pexsupply.com/manuals/1309877498838/57122_PROD_FILE.pdf
According to the manufacturer, having a broken post filter should not stop your unit from turning on or off.
The F300A2025 Electronic Air Cleaner is 25" long and 20" tall. Please refer to page 5 of the following specifications for full sizing information: http://s3.pexsupply.com/manuals/1309877498838/57122_PROD_FILE.pdf
According to the manufacturer, the filters used with the F300A1625 are a metal mesh pre-filter and a media type post-filter. We do not show a carbon filter for use with the F300A1625. The pre-filter may be cleaned and the post-filter is a replaceable type.
Yes, this should be the replacement unit you need.

They're pretty much the size of the unit NOT including the power supply. My ducting was around 21x26, so I just bought some metal, cut it into 4" strips, bent it into a 90deg, and used that to join the ducting to the unit. The EAC sits on my 90deg strips that I made.
