Needed a wireless thermostat and this set does the job plus!

Though not intended to be used this way, I put the outdoor wireless sensor in my freezer to measure the exact temperature in each level of the freezer. Other thermometers required me to open the freezer to read them so the reading changed. With the wireless sensor I could monitor the temperature on my IPad without opening the freezer..

Quick Shipping. Installed it myself. The directions were straight forward, if you have basically wiring knowledge, this should go quickly. The wireless thermostat was relocated to the main room and temp control is now much more accurate. It is also very nice to be able to control the temp n the house on my smart phone from wherever I am at. I highly reccomend this product!

I bought the wireless FocusPro Internet enabled thermostat kit because my infant son's room was the coldest room in the house. Our thermostat is in the living room so we had to play with raising and lowering temps guessing what the effect would be on his room. Went too hot then too cold. A lesser concern was that with the thermo in the LR, we couldn't use our gas fireplace as the temp on the thermo would skyrocket and keep the furnace from kicking in (making the rest of the house freezing). We got the kit, in short order from Pex, and I set about installing it. Honeywell does recommend professional install and I am no where close to even being an amateur but I read the instructions and match red to red, green to green etc. seemed easy enough to me. I shut the power to the furnace off and gave it a go. Powered up first crack. Now our son's room is comfortable. We can use the fp in comfort. And the outside thermometer is quite handy (we live in an area that falls between 3 reporting areas on the Weather Network so their 'current' temp never feels right) so we like knowing what the temp is at our house - not near the airport or downtown.

I selected this package to manage the heat/cool of a year round weekend beach house. The house has radiant heat throughout and the heat recovery time from 50-68 deg can be 8 hours in the cooler months. Without the remote control feature I had to keep the thermostat at 65 deg all the time wasting energy. Now I can raise the thermostat 8 hours or more before my arrival from my phone, laptop, iPad or any network connected computer. It's a great package, easy to install and set up. Worked the first time right out of the box. And the price from PexSupply was great. The package comes with a duct sensor that serves as a backup in the event anything stops working e.g., wireless connection between thermostat and controller or thermostat battery dies. In a hot water system you can mount the sensor any non conspicious place in the room. Things I would change if it were in my power: 1. Improve the thermostat display - tough to see - you have to view in just the right angle. 2. Note you cannot program the thermostat remotely, just raise or lower the temp or put it in hold. Also the remote application doesn't indicate if the thermostat is 'calling' for heat or cool. So it doesn't instill a lot of confidence that it's working. 3. Warning - if you anticipate adding additional wireless zones to your heat/cool system this is not the right system. You need the Honeywell zone controller + the wireless adapter. This is a single zone only controller. 4. Would be nice if Honeywell would redesign the duct sensor so the probe could be folded into an asthetically pleasing package to mount in the room for hot water systems. 5. When the thermostat is in 'Auto' it displays only heat or cool setting, which ever one you set last. To view or change the other you must put it in that mode - heat or cool. I find this confusing.

Very easy to instal and to use. Will buy another unit
