Adapter Brass Bushing for Bath Drain

We paid a plumber to update the faucet, shower and drain on a very old Kohler tub. He did everything except the drain. He said he couldn't find a replacement bath drain to fit the old larger diameter drain hole on the tub. Gave up on the plumber and finished the job ourselves using this bushing to adapt to a standard popup bath drain. Worked perfectly.

We have a really old tub and we weren't able to find the correct fitting anywhere to replace the drain. This adapter worked perfect and we were able to get a new drain plug to fit with no problem.

Bought new shower fixtures for our bathroom remodeling job. Kept our 1970's Kohler bathtub and had it refinished. Come to find out, the drain toe control we bought was not compatible with the larger size drain in the old Kohler tub which also had fine threads. The contractors destroyed the box the toe control came in and the plumbing supply would not exchange it. We spent over $200 on this toe control and a compatible one would have been much more. This little adapter was able to screw right on to my toe control and fit perfectly in the tub drain.
