Yes, if you go into 'display settings' and use the arrows you can lower the backlight intensity in 20% increments. More information can be seen on page 8 https://static.lennox.com/pdfs/owners/wifi/Lennox_icomfortWiFi_Homeowner_Manual.pdf

No, the 10F81 would have to be hardwired for power.
