Liberty Pumps 250 Series are manual and ideal for pumping of drainage, effluent and waste water and other non-explosive or corrosive liquids. This Liberty sump/effluent pump is the perfect choice for low-head effluent pumping or basement de-watering applications, in addition to liquid waste transfer for residential or commercial applications that require more flow at low-head.
The powerful heavy-duty motor on the Liberty 250-5 effluent sump pump comes with a rugged housing and powder coat finish that is completely submersible and will provide years of reliable performance.
Features:
Vortex style impeller permitting passage of solids up to 3/4"
Cast bronze or cast iron pump housing with protective epoxy coating for corrosion resistance
Oil-filled motor housing for lifetime lubrication and rapid heat dissipation
1/3 HP shaded pole motor with thermal overload protection
Stainless steel fasteners
Mechanical seal (stainless steel spring, nitrile parts, carbon and ceramic faces) for protection against pump failure
Upper and lower sintered sleeve bearings for extended motor life

14 years and going strong
I have a model 257 sump pump. It's been in the pit for 14 years and still works as good as the day it went in. Im just trying to decide if I should get a new one as a preventative maintenance move but it really is giving me no reason to do so.

High Quality Submersible Pump
I find it critically important to have your sump pump in good repair and ready for periods of extensive rain. I bought this 1/3 HP pump from SupplyHouse and it is a terrific device. It operates smoothly, quietly and was very easy to install. The 10Ft long cord and right-angle plug is very handy. I recommend this pump and plan to keep a spare on hand for future service.
