A replacement float switch used to control automatic on/off operation of the Liberty Pumps Model 404 drain pump system based on liquid level in the tank.
Key Features:
- Replacement part listed as "Float Switch for Pump 404" (Application: Replacement Part)
- Designed to restore automatic pump control when the original Model 404 float switch is worn, damaged, or failing
- Liberty's Model 404 system design uses an internal float switch with a separate access cover (QuickTree) for inspection/service
Compatibility & Applications:
- Intended for Liberty Pumps Model 404 applications only (per published for this part)
- Used in gray wastewater drain pump systems where the Model 404 is installed (e.g., laundry tray sinks, bar sinks, washing machines and similar drainage below gravity lines, as described for Model 404)
- Must only be used in applications where the manufacturer specifies this exact part number: K001155
Installation & Operation Notes:
- Installation should be performed by a qualified pump service professional or experienced installer
- Always disconnect power before servicing;
- The 404/405-series use a float switch cord with a series (piggyback) plug to interconnect the float switch and pump cords for automatic operation.
Maintenance & Troubleshooting:
- Routine checks are recommended to confirm free, unobstructed float switch movement and good switch condition
- Common failure symptoms tied to float-switch issues include: pump will not run automatically, intermittent cycling, or the pump runs when the motor cord is powered directly but not when controlled through the float switch

New Float Switch

The exact part I needed! Liberty Pump 404 Floater Switch
My Liberty 404 Pump stopped working. After conducting a little research online, I concluded it was the floater switch that was broken and needed replacement as the pump still worked when the separate pump cord was plugged in without the floater switch. I easily found the floater switch on SupplyHouse and ordered. Good instructions. It was an easy switch out and now my Liberty 404 Pump is working again.
