There is nothing else like it.
I have a pass through above my range, so a vent hood would be way to high. I used this in the soffit with a duct to a remote fan mounted in the attic. The only problem is that it is hinged on one side so cleaning must be done at 8 foot height and above the range. I bought a second one that I will modify so that the louvered panel can be removed for cleaning. The metal filter is removable for cleaning, but the louvers also get dirty. Now, if only the louvered panel was dishwasher safe.
