A Little Pump, but a Giant, Indeed

We use this pump to drive our back yard fountain. While the pump is submersible, our fountain is set up so that pump is below ground, but not submerged. The pump is in operation 24/7 in our Southern Arizona summers of extreme heat and moderate winters. Of course the pump doesn't last forever. We replace it about every year and a half, but when it does fail before the one-year warranty, the manufacturer (and SupplyHouse) honors the product warranty. So not only is the product a good one, but the SupplyHouse sales and customer service folks are the best.

Small but good pump

If you need a tiny (two fists) pump to move a small amount of water - like a slow hose - up a small hill, this is perfect. It can sit in a tank, or you can connect it with fittings and hose or pipe. Just be sure the inlet is below the level of the liquid. This pump will not suck, or self-prime from below itself. The inlet is cleverly 1/2 inch male or 1/4 inch female pipe thread. The discharge is 1/4 inch male pipe, but a 1/2 inch hose will just slip over it.

No, this pump does not have a float switch and should not be run dry.
