Description

Magnetically driven pumps for semi-corrosive chemicals and solutions. These pumps feature polypropylene, ceramic and Buna-N parts. Thermally protected open fan-cooled motor with sleeve bearings. 6 ft. power cord and 3-prong molded plug.
The Little Giant MD-SC series features leak-proof, seal-less magnetic drives and are designed for in-line, non submersible use. Volute, magnet housing and impeller are glass-filled polypropylene for excellent chemical resistance. Ceramic shaft and thrust washers are 99.5% pure alumina for excellent wear and trouble-free service. Pumping heads are easily rotated, cleaned or serviced with no special tools required. Spindle shaft is supported at both ends to prevent impeller damage during start-up and stop of pump.
Applications: Circulation of moderately corrosive acids, alkalis, solvents, brine, plating solutions, and other mildly corrosive chemicals and solutions that are compatible with the pump's material of construction

Good quality pump
Pump works very well and seems to be well built. It does not have that heavy grease, plastic smell either. I find that to be another sign of a quality assembly. I would give it 5 stars except it came with no fittings. 1/2" hose to NPT fittings were hard to find in my area.
