Magnetically driven pumps for semi-corrosive chemicals and solutions. These pumps feature polypropylene, ceramic and Buna-N parts. Thermally protected open fan-cooled motor with sleeve bearings. 6 ft. power cord and 3-prong molded plug.
The Little Giant MD-SC series features leak-proof, seal-less magnetic drives and are designed for in-line, non submersible use. Volute, magnet housing and impeller are glass-filled polypropylene for excellent chemical resistance. Ceramic shaft and thrust washers are 99.5% pure alumina for excellent wear and trouble-free service. Pumping heads are easily rotated, cleaned or serviced with no special tools required. Spindle shaft is supported at both ends to prevent impeller damage during start-up and stop of pump.
Applications: Circulation of moderately corrosive acids, alkalis, solvents, brine, plating solutions, and other mildly corrosive chemicals and solutions that are compatible with the pump's material of construction

A perfect replacement
This LG Pump replaced 1-for-1 the existing 10-year old pump running the water circulation for the AC on my boat. The marine environment is tough on machinery and the old one was showing some age. This one is both quieter and ready to serve the next 10 years. Kudos to Supply House for in stock, a great price, and fast shipping!

I would buy this pump again if I had to.
I have this pump running the filtration system on my 75 gallon aquarium. The flow rate even after pumping through all the filter chambers is very nice. I calculated I'm getting around 450gph.
