It's an easy fix.
Just as I said, if the pump is working well, this fix it kit is just the thing you need. Don't pay any attention to whoever on You Tube uses Vaseline around the O-ring and rubber diaphragm. It doesn't work that way (from experience with it). The Vaseline keeps the seal really tight, and the diaphragm doesn't go in and out correctly to activate or deactivate the switch. Clean it well, and tighten all parts. If it doesn't last, I'll get the plastic housing new and use the kit with it. Any small variation where water can get in will doom the on/off switch setup in conjuction with the diaphragm. I've already sent for this kit twice, but now, I'm familiar with how it works. If it should fill with water inside the wiring area (which made it run constantly), then I'll see that there must be an area where water can get in.

Easy repair
Apparently the microswitch failed, the connection where the electrical connector to the microswitch broke (metal fatigue) so power was interrupted. The pump was replaced in 2022. It seems like a short life for this part. At least all the possible parts were available.

Saved a lot of $$$
Was great to be able to get an OEM part for my laundry sink pump. Saved all kinds of dollars since I would have had the plumber in to re-pipe a new replacement pump. Spent $25 and less than an hour to replace the float switch and diaphragm. Parts was in stock and delivered in 2 days. Great service!
