Versatile thermostat
This thermostat was for a friend who was impressed with the one I had purchased and used for the past 2 years. I bought the first one to control the small electric heater in my camper. It cycles my small portable heater perfectly. No more waking up at night to turn it on or off. My friend wanted one for the same purpose. I have never used it for cooling nor have I used the programming feature. Works best with a short heavy appliance cord to get it away from the wall and let it hang over the edge of the counter to better sense space temperature.

I use this product in my RV on an electric heater that does not have a thermostat. Being able to program it is just what I needed for when I'm at work during the day. Very easy to program and set up.

Why dont we all use these sorts of timer
They save so much money, they give the consumer the ability to control devices using temperature AND 3 zone timer as a plug in unit, and there is a model that is hard wired (I have 7 in use with baseboards each room can be individualy programmed, for example so when you normally go to bed the sitting rooms switches into a lower temperature for over night, the bedroom is set to warm up 30 mins before the sitting room switched down, and the bedroom within after an hour or so, switch into overnight temperature, and then switch in the morning 30 mins beform alarm to a warm time, I hope get the picture..., . Just brilliant, if above sounds like something you want/need then you will not be disapointed. And of course these also can be used in a similar way with A/C, this is what I use the outlet driven units for.

Q: What's the difference between this one PSP300 and WIN100 model?

My understanding is -- technically and functionally -- Nothing!! (As you are likely already aware--the PSP300 cost is quite a bit more than the WIN100}. I suggest you telephone LUX and ask them. LUX Corporation 6000 Commerce Pkwy Mt Laurel, NJ 08054 When you do ask them--your first question should be: "Are the LUX PSP300 and the LUX WIN100--technically and functionally--identical"? I believe they will say "Yes". (My recollection is the LUX PSP300 has something to do with "professional installers", but I don not know the reasons nor details

Q: do make a remote for this thermostat or a way i can control it from smartphone kids leave it on all the time

Verified Reply- PexSupply StaffThere is no remote control available for this thermostat. At this point, smart phone control is limited to more advanced thermostats like the Honeywell Prestige.
