Applied to line insulation to seal the seams while outside in 15 deg weather. Sealed up like champ.

Works everywhere, used it so much I had to purchase more. Also works great over armaflex.

I recently installed a Turbomax reverse indirect water tank with some fairly long runs to the main boiler. The tank had four connections on the top and four side ports protruding out of the insulation envelope, so I wrapped every single one of them in this foam tape. I also wrapped all the elbows, and the sides of PRVs and automatic air vents and any other exposed metal surfaces. It definitely helped keep the heat leakage down and the boiler room is notably cooler.

In a pre-service run through, the new HVAC service recommended this tape to help protect the refrigerant line insulation from UV damage. Could not locate it locally, but found it on this site and purchased it for installation when I replace the existing insulation (which is worn and pitted). Insulation and tape could not be installed on day of AC service as it was a very rainy day, but I have my tips from the pro and will take care of it at drier, cooler time..
