The 325 Series is a pounds to inches regulator, meeting utility specifications. The 325 Series regulator is for use on residential, commercial, and industrial applications where adequate inlet pressures are available.
They are a high performance type regulator and can be used as a single stage regulator - reducing pounds pressure to normal burner pressure. They can also be used as a line regulator on equipment already fitted with an appliance regulator.

Good regulator.
I used this upstream of a lame stock part that came on my gas range. That globe regulator was garbage and didn't regulate at all. This regulator dials in nicely to your preferred setting within the range specified

good value/price
I used this as a regulator at the appliance. The gas company put in the higher pressure meter (2psi red meter). So I needed this device for the gas clothes dryer to operate properly. The gas furnace installers used the same device so it came recommended from the pros.

The vent cannot be plugged. It can be piped, but it is much easier to just use a vent limiter. The unit must be mounted in the upright position as shown when using a vent limiter. Model numbers that end with the letter "L" come with the vent limiter installed.

Doesn't need to be piped as far as our local code is concerned. I used this to add a natural gas grill to my system -- same device as on my furnaces and other gas appliances. Set it up using a water-tube manometer made from clear plastic tubing -- worked like a champ.

Q: Do these units require being install in vertical or horizontal position so that the ball inside will work proper or does it matter.

Verified Reply- PexSupply StaffThe 325-3 with the standard outlet spring is adjustable from 4" to 12" wc pressure. It can be custom-ordered with different springs that have different pressure ranges.

Q: I am looking for a Maxitrol 325-3 10psig. Is this the correct regulator. I do not see any psig on the unit description.
