THE low flow switch solution
If you are repurposing a tankless water heater for zone heating and DHW with a plate heat exchanger, this is THE switch to activate the primary zone. You can set it so low you can run just a trickle from any faucet and still activate the priority DHW zone.

this switch was perfect
I needed a switch that would operate down to .12 gpm. Now when i open the facuet for my domestic water the flow switch sends a signal to a relay deactivating my zone pumps and turning on just my primary pump for domestic hot water. This switch also controls A seisco boiler and and toyo 180 boiler Works perfect evertime

Expensive, but works great.
I installed this same model for a similar application 7 years ago, and it's been working great ever since. I have it set to close at a very low flow rate, and it activates about 25 times a day. I'm expecting the same success from the new installation.
