Threads seem to be out of tolerance
I purchased this nipple for its unique length dimension. However the thread would not completely seal as evidenced by air pressure leak testing. I tried two nipples ( purchased 5) and got same results - slow leak. Reverted to a standard galvanized iron nipple and no leaks. It seems the thread diameter is a bit small and allows the nipple to bottom out.

Quality fittings at a great price
These pipe nipples are top quality. Threads are cut perfect and straight. Great price also. Better than anything offered locally sad to say. Well worth the wait to get from my favorite supplier, Supply House.

Good quality product
Unfortunately, the inch and three-quarter nipple was too short so I'm just stuck with that. So I went back to supply house and ordered a 2 inch nipple and it worked fine.

Great alternative to the box store sizes. I used this for a shower wall supply. This provided the perfect fit for me when the sizes at the box store were either too short or too long because they are limited to 1/2" increments.

Verified Reply- SupplyHouse Staff4008-001 is a close nipple, threads on each end meeting in the middle. Installed it effectively adds no length.
