Mini Split Air Conditioners

Mini split air conditioners are a type of AC system consisting of an outdoor unit and one or more indoor units. The outdoor unit houses the compressor, while the indoor unit(s) are installed in the rooms or spaces to be cooled. Mini splits don’t need any ductwork to distribute the cooled air, which makes them an especially attractive choice for homes or buildings without existing ductwork in place.

More About Mini Split Air Conditioners
Comfort Inside and Out
A ductless mini split system is a combination of an indoor evaporator coil and an outdoor condenser unit connected by a refrigerant line set. Single-zone systems consist of one indoor unit and one outdoor condenser and provide cooling for one room, while multi-zone systems can consist of up to eight indoor units and one outdoor unit, allowing one outdoor unit to cool multiple rooms. Some units are equipped with a heat pump to provide warm air during winter months.

How It Works
Ductless mini split air conditioners work by drawing in warm air from the room through the indoor unit and transferring it to the outdoor unit. The outdoor unit then releases the heat outside and cools the refrigerant, which is then pumped back inside to the indoor unit to cool the room. The indoor unit blows the cooled air back into the room, creating a comfortable and cool environment.

Why Choose Mini Splits?
Mini splits offer several advantages over traditional air conditioning systems, including energy efficiency, flexibility in installation, and individual temperature control for each indoor unit. With reliable brands like LG, Bluefin, Comfort-Aire, Friedrich, Daikin, and Mr. Cool available, mini splits are a phenomenal choice for providing year-round comfort. Make sure to complete your installation with the appropriate installation kit, which includes a line set, condenser unit pad, and thermostat wiring.
