18" Bulk Plastic Water Heater Pan w/ 1" CPVC Fitting

Used for a 6 gal. tank. Very thin plastic. The kind ya get when ya go to the grocerey store, and order 4 pieces of chicken from their deli. They put your chicken in a square plastic container that "snaps" closed. This is the same thickness as that container. At 8 lbs. per gallon I'll be ok. Oh yea, the included fitting, I replaced it with one I can use.

I needed a small heater over flow pan and couldn't find the right size anywhere. SupplyHouse had it, it was priced right and shipping was fair.

I had a 10 inch under the sink hot water tank go bad and I was lucky to catch it before it leaked all over my floor. If I had not caught it when I did it could have flooded my whole mobile home and done some major flooding. No manufacturing company makes a small pan (which they should) for these small tanks so I purchased a pan which was as small as I could find and fit under the sink to prevent a flooding in the future. Pan was extremely thin but for my situation there wasn't much weight being put on it so it served the purpose. A larger hot water tank I would probably buy a better ( thicker) built pan as it could easily be damaged if it were slid on the pan. Would not recommend for a larger tank as I purchased one a lot better quality and thickness and for just a few dollars more locally.

This product was the size (18 in diameter) I needed and wanted. But it is cheaply made of plastic thinner than the average plastic fork. Probably not very durable for a heavy water heater. Anyhow, I also bought the aluminum model which is far better made, stronger, and only double the cost at about $16. But the aluminum is not commonly on stock. So it takes longer for delivery. I recommend the aluminum model over the plastic.

Fine unit but pipe drain adapter does not fit standard PVC pipe, 1/2 or 3/4 inch pipes.
