The area I had to work with is to say the least was tight. The drain pan did the job and fit well in the space that I had to work with. I did raise it off the floor using a round landscape stepping block the same diameter as the pan and 1" thick so I could get a slope on the drain line this worked well, I then hooked up the drain and ran it through the wall out side the house. I then tested it for flow using water. I would also like to say the pan is constructed well and the price was right for me. I have shown it to a couple of people that I know and they made comments like I need to do that.

Take the Worry Out Of Water Heater Leaks
I installed this pan under my water heater. It will do it's intended job. Because I had to use a 18" diameter pan instead of the 20" which I should of used. (water heater was 18") I did not have enough room for a 20" pan. So I had to make a 18" work. 1st. I raised the water heater 1/2" in the pan using 1/2" CPVC. 2nd. I had to modify the discharge fitting, by cutting down on it's length into the pan. Then reduced its diameter from 1" to 3/4" to match diameter of drain pipe. Over all I am satisfied with finished project.

Good for tight spaces, well made
Needed a pan for a tight space when replacing a water heater. This one fit well and seems sturdy enough to last.

Fast shipping
Product is thin, uses cpvc drain which I had trouble locating around here to attach an elbow for directing drainage. No stores here had 18" pans. Fast shipping, I'd order again

Water Heater Pan
Great size to fit my water heater and not take up the entire closet.

A small price to pay for flood insurance
I used a 18" Bulk Aluminum Water Heater Pan w/ 1" CPVC Fitting to protect my summer home from possible water damage from a leaking water heater. The water heater is located on the finished main floor. I have floating hardwood flooring in the rest of the home. Any water leak could be catastrophic. So I used this pan connected to a drain line to lessen the chance of this happening from the water heater at least.

It's a pretty good available product.
This was a hard to find item considering its small size (18 inch diameter). The aluminum material is pretty good, durable, and far better than the thin plastic model of the same size. I loved the availability of this product but did not really like the long wait for delivery.
