Didnt have to replace the entire housing so saved a bunch of money just replacing the motor.

Tradewinds Electric Kitchen Fan Cat. 1501, 1502, 1504, 1505
Used this to replace early 1960's Trade-Wind fan. It does not ship with gaskets so you'll have to fabricate your own if the old ones need replacing. The only knock is the motor does not appear to be variable speed. Otherwise, saved a ton of work not having to replace existing duct work to replace with something now.

Able to salvage a Tradewinds Clipper kitchen fan from 1951
It was an effective replacement motor for a Tradewinds Clipper kitchen exhaust fan on a 1951 fan unit mounted in a plaster ceiling. It was slightly longer in overall dimension from the regular and I used a sheet of rubber about .080" thick designed to patch tractor tires to dampen the mount. Tradewinds is still in business but the original mounts that cushion the ends of the motor are no longer available and the old ones disintegrated when the fan motor was removed. It allowed us to get back into a working exhaust fan while reusing all of the original ductwork and swinging mounting brackets etc. The reason for the 4 stars is it wasn't exactly the same length but close enough to make it work.
