Not accurately calibrated

The radiant cove heating system needed new 'stat. I've used this model before and am familiar with calibration means. One unit was off by more than six degrees. I changed calibration at plastic knob, instead of just sticking on new trim disc. Steps: remove metal stick-on indicating disc, remove clear plastic knob from white rotor disc (three tabs must be compressed for removal). Check set point versus room temperature. Reinstall clear plastic knob correctly oriented (clear knob has pointer molded into body). Replace metal indicating disc with spare, or use similar round medium (paper, cardboard, etc.). I used custom printed circle on cardboard to provide decoration and larger pointer. Be cautious when reinstalling clear plastic knob, incorrect positioning can adversely limit control range. Unit works very well now, error is less than two degrees of indicator.

Problem with the unit, but not with Pex

Unfortunately, I received a defective unit which worked more like a switch than a thermostat. After installing it and checking the calibration, the unit sometimes stuck, so that the heat wouldn't shut off until I lowered the dial, then it might not come on again until I raised it. Pex was great about allowing me to return the product and quickly refunded the full purchase price. I would not hesitate to do business with them again. I also know that Honeywell products are first rate, I just can't recommend this item based on my experience.

Yes, I would by this product again

I bought 8 of these Thermostats and I had 7 of them installed by an Electrician. They all work fine and as expected. They are replacing the same exact ones that were on there from many years ago.

I will buying more to replace the original ones.

Works and looks great. Just wish the wires could be plugged in, instead of capping wires.

Good Thermostat

Product works as designed. I bought it because it matches the other thermostats in my condo. SupplyHouse.com is excellent! Very fast shipping and excellent customer service. I had to return one that was defective. They sent a return postage label for the defective one and immediately sent another thermostat. I would definitely buy from them again.

Q: Hello, I have old Bryant Line voltage thermostats in each room that controls one baseboard heater in each room. They look identical to this Honeywell unit and also have the ability to be turned off by the knob. I do not know how to tell if my old thermostats are 110v or 220v. It seems the specs of the Honeywell thermostat can be used on either voltage....is this correct?

Q: wondering if the positive stop is different than the thermostats without it. is there always power to the heater in thermostats without the positive stop feature?

The positive OFF is a position in which the heating element of the appliance cannot be turned on by the thermostat regardless of the ambient temperature, thus eliminating the need for a separate off/on switch. Without the positive off switch the heater is still on and if it gets cold enough the heater would kick back on.
