Worked perfectly
I have a 10 year old water heater and the control valve went out. I found the replacement here and it arrived within 2 days, worked perfectly. I would recommend this to anyone with the same unit. 5 red flashes was the code.

Finally have hot water again
Getting my old valve (with a non-functioning pilot solenoid) out was a major hassle. But I got everything back together with this new valve (replacing an older model), and I now have hot water again. NOTE: Keep the water temperature below the letter levels (A, B, C, D) unless you have a good reason for those high temperatures. You will likely have less problems between Low and High.

My Failed unit was WV8860B1309 came off a whirlpool.
THIS FIT PERFECTLY AND WORKED. The customer service wasn't 100% sure, but if you have a water heater with this part "WV8860B1309" it worked for me.
