Great fan for olde Amana/Goodman. Pairs with new ⅓ HP motor.
The motor on our 30 year old Amana outdoor condenser was failing. Our local HVAC guy would not touch it because of age. I decided to get a new fan blade as well and had to search for a clockwise blade (CW 0.500" shaft) to match the new CCW motor.
(Motor -- Goodman Parts D6924411Q). No clue why the CCW motor needs a CW fan blade but our motor hangs down from the top and pulls air out. O.K. fine. This new fan blade is quieter and blows about 50% more air than the old one. The new motor is 1/ 3 HP vs the old motor which was 1/ 10 HP. New pulls a little more current (7.1 amps vs 6.8 amps; all good. Eventually plan to check power factor to see if I need a capacitor upgrade. Alternately need a better HVAC guy.
Nits - New fan only has one set screw, does not seem to matter. Checked capacitor and contactor before doing work and all good. FYI had to change one motor wire clip to fit the old contactor.

Out of balance
This was nearly a direct replacement for the original fan. The difference was that the original fan had aluminum blades (which cracked over the years due to stress hardening) and this fan had galvanized blades. Everything looked good except that the fan was out of balance. It had weights on it as if it had been balanced, but it still vibrates like crazy! I had screwed the original blade back together to keep things running until this one arrived. Even with a screw in it, the original was more balanced and ran much smoother. What the heck! If it has balance weights on it, someone had to have at least tried to balance it...
