External Filter Rack - 24 in., RXHF-24

I had hope the Rheem filter rack would have a more sturdy construction. The box has no gusseting to help it keep it's shape and it relies on sheet metal screws to keep it together. This should have at least been spot welded and had reinforcements. Remember, in vertical installations, the entire weight of the air-handler along with cooling and heating coils will be sitting atop of this unit. The front door where the filter goes has only a thin cross bar which is screwed in place. It did collapse. In the end, I removed this from my HVAC system and may use it in an air recycling system for my small spray booth where it will have no weight on it.
