Great anode rod, I will buy again
I bought 3 of these to have on hand to replace my anode today as it wears. It is 100% magnesium and I was able to cut it to length. Great product. I used the scrap piece for fire starting.

Good product - no issues
I used 2 of those so far in my 50 gal gas water heater. They last approx 5 years on well water (acidy!!!) Neutralizes corrosion perfect - hot water is clean. When it's all used up you will notice hot water discoloration (brownish/rusty...), Simply drain the water heater, remove the old worn out one and pop the new one in. fill up, and ready to go for another 5 years.

Q: What is the difference between this 44" 0.9" diameter Magnesium Anode Rod and the same size magnesium rod that also says R-Tech?

Verified Reply- Supplyhouse StaffThe R-tech is suggested if you have a hard water or higher sulfur content in your water. It is less sensitive to water conditions.
