A necessary evil
PEX Supply was outstanding! Delievered 2 days before expected delivery, which really got us out of a bind. Losing a hot water tank in December, with a full house for Christmas and a radiant heat system that NEEDED that part, PEX pulled it off for us...
Now for Rheem...overrated, overpriced, under engineered...and their distributors and distribution network could care less about your "pain". They wanted to gouge us for the price, PLUS mandated that THEY install it. Took me all of maybe 5 minutes...and that was 2 minutes to open all the packaging!
PEX Supply...no doubt I will be buying from them again

Too expensive for how long it worked.
We were very happy with PexSupply, the blower was delivered slightly ahead of schedule. The blower was packaged very well. As far as the Powervent Blower itself, it seems pretty expensive compared to other brands. We have only had our water heater for 5 years and the bearings on the blower went out. For the cost of this brand of blower, I would assume it would last longer. I would try another brand before using the Rheem Powervent again.

The install was extremely easy and replacing the power vent on my 16 year old water was a lot cheaper than replacing the entire water heater.

exact replacement part I needed
Looked exactly like the one making a grating noise on top of my gas water heater. I was able to install the new blower within 5 minutes and it is working great.
