Description

Rifeng crimp fittings are compatible with PEX tubing. Crimp fittings are barbed for installation inside tubing after which a crimp ring or cinch clamp is used to hold the fitting onto the tubing.

Copper PEX rings are crimped using a Crimp Tool to an acceptable diameter then checked by a diameter Go-No-Go Gauge. Copper PEX rings are designed to go over PEX tubing to lock in barbed PEX crimp fittings onto the tubing. High quality material and manufacturing insure a tight seal over PEX tubing using a pex crimping Tool.

Pex crimp rings

Are you really reading a review about crimp rings? It must be late. Go to bed. These withstand pressure. Apparently, you are under a lot of pressure because you are reading a review about crimp rings. Go to bed before you blow a seal.

1" Crimp rings don't crimp properly.

I was adding some plumbing into my existing house with Type-A pex, but I went with Rifeng type B pex for my work due to the price. I used Rifling pipe, fittings, and crimp rings. I did a few 3/4" crimps, and they were fine! However, the 1" crimps are impossible. Every one of them crimps oval. I even got to the point where I bought a different crimp tool, and had the same result. The crimps are level and even all the way around, but they just don't crimp evenly. They pass the go no go gauge if I put it on the crimp ring a certain way, but if I turn the gauge, it won't turn. Very dissapointed in these.

Get a cleaner alternative

Good price, but coated with stubborn dark oil that's like thread cutting oil. Not worth saving a few dollars to have to spend time cleaning them. If you leave these rings uncleaned, the oil eventually gets all over your fingers, the pipework, and the outcome looks messy, especially on white pipe. Not a one off. I bought a second bag, thinking the first bag was just a dirty batch. At least they work fine.

Extremly hard to crimp

We normally don't have a issue with crimp rings, but we have received some that take two hands to crimp the ring. Then the final crimp doesn't look right.

Pex products

I use these every day on the job and sometimes I have to buy from local stores, cost base difference is sometimes 40-50% less and with the same quality of product.

I would NOT buy again

For some reason, unknown to me, these crimp rings are covered in some black substance. My guess is corrosion inhibitor. This makes for a dirty, oily installation. They seem a bit oversized and does not fit in my crimp tool very well either which causes issues.

Only complaint, greasy

We've used this product over and over, works great. I just wish they weren't so greasy. Anytime we install them on white PEX, the job is a mess, black grease smudges everywhere, and we have to spend time cleaning it so the finished product doesn't look sloppy when the client sees it.

No, you cannot make standard crimp fittings with PEX-AL-PEX. You must use press fittings or compression fittings.

Crimp rings and clamp rings are of the same quality and generally yield the same results. We recommend that you use the rings that the installer will be most comfortable working with.

To connect 1/2" PEX to 1/2" PEX in your application you will need a Crimp Toilet Swivel Adapter (SKU:H200500) and a Crimp Coupling (SKU: H010500).
