The 710 low capacity gas heating valves are designed for recreational vehi-
cles and other applications with limited space. All models include a manual
valve (gas cock), automatic pilot safety valve, pilot outlet, pilot gas filter and
pilot adjusting key. THE CONTROL CAN BE MOUNTED IN ANY POSITION
EXCEPT UPSIDE DOWN AND ALL MODELS HAVE 3-POSITION OUTLETS.
Consult ordering chart for individual control specifications.
NOTE: Regulated 710 series gas valves can be converted from natural to
L.P. gas by using the replacement pressure regulators shown on
page C25.

Reznor Unit (Shop) Heater gas valve replacement
After searching high and low for a replacement 24v gas valve for a 53 year old Reznor UA-50 Unit heater, I found this - and it works fine, no issues. All parts distributors and the manufacturer rep pretty much said the same thing "the part you requested was discontinued without a replacement and is obsolete." Not at all surprising for a unit built in 1972.
After researching burner rack orifice sizing and BTU ratings, I decided this valve would very likely work - suffice to say, once the unit fired up, an inspection of flame height in the heat exchanger further proved the valve wasn't over-firing the burners or creating any other undesirable conditions.

Great product
The old valve had a date of 1965 on it. The new one fit right up and seems to make more heat than before
which might be because it is made for natural gas use to start with rather than propane conversion.
Very pleased with this purchase.
