Best Customer Service

THREE 5 star comments. First, he very best customer service I've ever encountered. I ordered the wrong thermostat model and they treated it like it was their error. Seamless return authorization process and I had the correct model the next day. Which brings me to my second comment...you really do receive the product the next day. Third, they have the best prices on most products. Definitely a 5 star operation. Highly recommended.

Temp reading not accurate & rests are ok

The temperature reading is not correct even I did Maximum compensation. It still reads 1.3 ºC lower than actual temp.

Economical, but, with features I needed.

Easy to use, economical, and a 5 year warranty. I needed a thermostat with a programmable fan feature. It is annoying how many Expensive thermostats still don't have this feature. Now my home has proper air circulation, without having to turn on the cooling or heating features, when they are not needed.

A great thermostat

This thermostat has all the features I wanted and needed. Easy to use and program. I found very few thermostats that had the capability to select the temperature differential between when the heat turns off and comes back on to reduce the wasteful cycling that most thermostats generate while trying to maintain a temperature within half a degree. I'm a RobertShaw convert.

only reason for not a five star is that it does not have battery backup

Highly recommend

This thermostat allows user to program 4 different heat/cool settings to occur each day. It can regulate your heating system or cooling system or can be set to automatically switch between both systems and maintain your comfort zone temperatures. Easy to program when using the detailed instruction book that is included. Display panel is easy to see and read.

Same thermostat I bought ten years ago only now better.

This thermostat has more features to customize how my system manages the settings I like, to meet weather fluctuations of each day.

Not for two wire systems!

The unit is very easy to program, and doesn't require batteries! I have this unit connected to a boiler, that normally only has two wires for a thermostat. I had to find the 24 VAC. common, in the boilers control circuitry and run a wire from that point to the thermostat. (3) wires are required for this unit to operate 24H, 24C and the system relay wire. So far the unit appears to be working fine, but winter isn't here yet.

Q: Can the security code be changed on this unit. We have them installed in our office and the employees are constantly changing the temperature. We need to reset the security codes.

According to Robertshaw's literature, it does not seem possible to change the code once it's been established. I would recommend contacting Robertshaw directly to see if there's any solution to this issue. Their number is 800-445-8299. Please also reference page 23 in the user manual: https://s3.amazonaws.com/s3.supplyhouse.com/manuals/1302550420353/53211_PROD_FILE.pdf This gives all the information on the security settings.

Q: Your answer was not clear. There are three Fan settings; Auto, Intermittent On and Intermittent Off. Mine is set to Fan Auto. The Fan icon does not come on when set to Auto, even though the Fan is running during the Heating or Cooling cycles. Should the Fan icon come on when set to Fan Auto? I asked: "Your Question: "I just installed the 9701I2 in a Forced Hot air (natural gas) and Central A/C system. Auto change over is OFF. When the Heat comes on the animated Flame icon works correctly. However I don't see the Fan icon. Does the fan icon only come on in a Fan ONLY mode and not when Heat or A/C is on?" You said: Answer: "This thermostat will show the fan icon when the fan is in the ON position." SupplyHouse Staff from SupplyHouse.

This thermostat will show the fan icon when the fan is in the ON position.

The fan icon should come on when cooling or heating is being ask for and when it reaches the temperature heat or cold the fan should run for a small period of time then turn off. This icon will and should be there showing Joe Botelho Senior Building Operator Iovate Health Sciences International Inc. 381 North Service Road West Oakville, ON Canada L6M 0H4 www.iovate.com<http://www.iovate.com> Toll-Free: ***.**** Email: ****@***.***<mailto:****@***.***> Our Core Values: Accountable, Teamwork, Passionate, Customer Centric, Valuing People, Consumer Driven

Q: I have several of these bought on this site in various vacation homes we rent. They were all purchased at various times. For most part they work great. I bought two for one the homes (at the same time) and both of them are not doing an "Auto Change-over". I checked all the settings. Any ideas why they are not doing so. The same model units purchased at different times and installed in other homes have no issues in doing auto change-over. Thanks for your time.

I have noticed that if you don't do the set up wizard at the beginning when first installed and answer the questions it may not work. I have heat pumps and it asks you if you have a furnace or heat pump. It also asks you if you want auto change over too. I had 5 new units and skipped the wizard thinking I did not need it to install one and did not answer the questions and it never worked for the heat pump but tried another answer the questions everything was fine. Must get into set up wizard.

What is your change over setting. To change over from heat to ac the temperature needs to exceed the setting. Example temp is set at 74°F when changing from winter to summer the temperature has to get above 79° and below 69°F. You may want to look the change over settings again paying attention to the change over deadband.
