DEH 3000 Dehumidifier & Ventilation System Controller

First DEH 3000 failed to work and was in constant reset/hold mode. The first DEH 3000 appeared to have inaccurate temperature and humidity levels. Temperature read 6 degrees high while the humidity level read low. The second/replacement DEH 3000 works but, again the temperature reads high and the humidity reads low. There is no way to adjust either settings (bias controls) and no factory reset. This dehumidistat does feature integrations where you can control other HVAC equipment when the unit is running or the other HVAC (e.g., air handler) is running. However, while this is a nice touch, this integration can be solved with Home Automation if the functionality is desired. Wiring is a pain. There is no back plane to mount the wires to like with the Honeywell or Trane thermostats. Instead the up to 11 18ga wires feed through a 3/4" x 1" hole on the main board. Not well designed. To be fair, 6 of these wires are for other HVAC equipment integration and are NOT required for the DEH 3000 to function. There are other dehumidistats out there which I'd try before the DEH 3000 and they are less pricey. See photos comparing temp/humidity readings differences and of the wiring.

I used this with my Ultra120H. Works great just following the directions.
