Works great!
Used to prevent heat flow out of my water heater into my supply line. I was able to connect this to existing pipes using 3/4" Sharkbite fittings without any modifications needed.

Saves time, effort, and money
Saves time, money, and effort of building a heat trap from scratch. Installed it when I installed my hot water heater. Compact enough to fit in tight spaces. Well worth it!

Perfect for installing a hot water heater
I usually make one up out of a few elbows and pipe nipples. Using this both gets the job done and saves time and labor many times than its cost.

Inconsistent Quality Control
My fittings didn't fit the heat trap when I did a dry fit. On further inspection, I discovered that the end on the short horizontal side were flared out.
After cutting off 1/4" from the end, and I was able to get the fitting on the end.
