I've used the Sioux chief pex manifolds before and they were great. This one is ok my issue is the copper is very soft and malleable and the 3/4" takeoffs weren't all that straight. I had to bend them a little once soldered to get them closer but still wasnt how I'd like it to be. Is noticeable on return side with large vertical piping going to strut bar I actually put a slight bend in the copper to have sit right for strapping

Worked perfectly as supply / return manifold
I cut this into three pieces. I used it for supply/return manifolds for a 4 zone hot water system. I have the other 4 outlets on the shelf in case needed in the future. Fittings slid right on.

Will buy again
Expensive, but saves a LOT of time and makes the job look great because it's symmetrical and square. Spacing between branches is adequate for zone valves and Cush-clamps.

Excellent quality and price
I've always been pleased with the quality of every Sioux Chief product I've used, and this manifold is no exception: it delivers quality and ease-of-installation and, thanks to to the excellent pricing at Supply House, delivers value to both the installer and the ultimate end-user, as all indications are that this manifold will last the life of the systems it's part of, and long beyond that; this makes it a wise choice.

Now that is a manifold
i certainly did not need a manifold this long, but it was the only option to get 3/4" outlets. The price is right and you can always use what is cut off for another job. I used it for the main water distribution by soldering copper ball valves to it; these feed 3/4" and 1" PEX tubing. It is a long house and has outbuildings; the normal PEX manifold outlets are too small. Definitely would be the right way to go when installing zoned hot water baseboard.

Simple Manifold with Appropriately Spaced Outlets
Minor issues are that the manifold isn't dead straight possibly due to all soldering having been performed on one side.

Time Saver
Save a lot of time by not needing to build manifolds. Can be cut to required length. The 3" spacing works well with the V8043E1012 and 1061 zone valves I mount on them. It would be better if the stubs were an inch or two longer. The short stub allows the main trunk to suck away a lot of heat when soldering. Still they make for a nice installation.

Saves a lot of time, look nice
We use these for building zone valve manifolds.
Compared to the cost of plain copper fittings and having to prepare those and then solder them together, there's no contest. And these allow a nice, compact installation with all the ports perfectly aligned. If you only need two or three passes, plain copper fittings might be OK, but we needed six passes. This just made sense. And we got enough for two.
Q: Will this Ball valve sweat directly on the manifold without a short nipple??
