Description

DHC-E 8/10 models are ideal for residential and commercial point-of-use sink applications including: bathrooms, cabins and cottages, office buildings, stores, malls, warehouses, restaurants, and gas stations. They are electronically controlled and can be set to deliver water at the temperature you need. They heat water instantaneously and endlessly at 99% efficiency as it flows through the unit. Because they do not store hot water like tank water heaters, they have no stand-by energy losses. Venting is not necessary and the compact European design can be installed with the unit visible. A DHC-E is considerably smaller than a tank, saving space and allowing flexibility to determine the best location for installation. The number of sinks a DHC-E can deliver hot water to depends on the temperature of the incoming cold water, the flow rate through the unit, whether supply voltage is 208 or 240, and which power output the unit is set to. Refer to the DHC-E Sizing Guide to determine which model you need. Call Stiebel Eltron at 800.582.8423 with any questions. Stiebel Eltron invented tankless electric water heating technology more than 90 years ago, and is still the industry pioneer and world leader today, with an engineering and manufacturing tradition of excellence.

I'm in hot water!

This is my first on demand water heater that I have installed. The installation was simple and straightforward. I didn't time myself but the unit was hung, plumbed in and wired in less than an hour. Running the electric to the unit took longer but that's not on review. After flushing the lines and removing air, the unit was switched on and in less than 20 seconds hot water was coming out of the faucet. This unit is connected to two hand sinks and one shower. The shower hasn't been used yet but the sinks had hot water for as long as they were turned on. My only question on the installation were the slotted pan head screws to hang the unit. Haven't seen those with a new product for many years. Also, the wire clamp was secured with torx screws. Keep you tool box nearby!
