Taco Pump Replacement Cartridge TAC006-036RP

After 40 years, a circulating pump for space heating from my solar tank failed. Fortunately, my wife noticed the replacement cartridge option. It was about half the cost and took only a few moments to pop right in rather than applying my poor soldering skills to replace the whole pump. Quick shipping, etc, etc...

My initial experience with the service was not positive in that the product received was defective. This was a manufacturers defect and not the fault of supplyhouse. The resultant service and reaction was excellent, with the problem resolved quickly, painlessly, and at no cost to me.

While home for a day during travels, I installed the pump cartridge per instruction, only to find that the pump did not work. I dismantled the pump and found that the impeller could barely be turned, by hand. The old cartridge impeller spun freely by hand, but had become quite noisy. I will return the impeller for exchange , when home from travels.

I received the part quickly, it was the right part, and worked well when installed.
