This consist of an assembly small than the size of your thumb. The are 2 tiny fiber washers in it that cannot be bought . This assembly controls the opening and closing of the valve to allow the water flow. When the fiber washers no longer seal , then the valve leaks. The cost of about $35.00 to replace a $0.05 washer is outrageous.
There is nothing else I can use and so I am forced to buy this replacement part. The warranty is only one year. I have to rebuild or replace the Taco 5101-G2 valve about every 2/3 years. The entire valve is about $175.00. I have 2 plus what repair parts I can collect in order to keep my AC unit running.

TACO Valve 5101-G2 Replacement Part
Gland Assembly was what I expected, but very pricey for waht you get.
The down side, it took over a month to receive the part, shipping was very slow, with two calls to Pex.
