Just in fairness
I'm a landlord with quite about 15 of these installed. Some are as old as 1997 and none of the valves have failed. I've had just one head fail (it was about 9 years old) and it was very easy to replace. I was very surprised to see the review about 15 replacements of a single system since 1996.

I would not buy Taco valves again
I have 3 Taco 570 zone valves on the boiler installed in 1996. There is a problem with the valve and seat assembly. I talked with Taco Tech service with no clear answers. The valves leak after about 1 1/2 years and I have replaced about 15 valve and seat assemblies. You can't tell where they are leaking because the retaining plate covers the top of the valve. I feel that the "O" rings are too small or the bellows gets a crack in it. Very disappointed in these valves. The valve and seat assembly cost about 100.00 $ .

Quick Service
We replaced a leaking zone valve at our church. Installation was fast and easy and solved the leak. We had the part the next day after I ordered it.
