Description

The Taco Low Water Cutoff (LWCO) provides accurate and dependable protection for all types of boilers, from small residential hot water boilers to large industrial steam units. The LWCO is a probe-style, microprocessor-based control that detects the fluid level in hot water and steam boilers and reacts when the level falls below the minimum safe operating level specified by the boiler manufacturer.

The Taco LWCO can act as either the primary or secondary low water cutoff on low-pressure steam boilers, the primary limit control on hot water boilers or to protect pumps from running dry in condensate receiver tank applications. The LWCO can also activate alarm systems or automatic water feeders.

Features include:
Patented Adjustable Probe Sensitivity
External LEDs and Simplified Wiring for Easy Installation and Testing
Automatic or Manual Reset Mode
Available in 24 VAC or 120 VAC
Standard On-Board (NEMA 1) or Remote (NEMA 4) Probe 1/2  or 3/4  NPT Connection
LT Models Include External Test Button, Adjustable Delay On Break (DOB) and Delay or Make (DOM)
Replaces LTA1203S-1

Tacos LWCO is better

This low water cutoff has a very heavy duty sensor that out shines its competors in the same price range. I bought a replacement sensor for a competors LWCO that failed after being in service for 10 years. The new sensor started to leak after only 70 days so I decided to replace the whole module. Supply House took back the defective sensor and refunded my cost without a hassle. After seeing the difference in manufactured quality of the Taco module l knew I had made a good decision also you have a great supplier with Supply House.

BackUp Low Pressure Switch for the Next Time...

I bought this valve as a backup to an existing one that failed and was then replaced to the tune of $700... The valve is probably fine, but the installer ripped me off. The price was competitive and now I have a valve I can replace myself for almost a 10th of the cost if it fails. I like SupplyWarehouse and would order from again!

Not A Fan

Easy installation, however, one day after installation, it leaked thru the probe, got on to the circuit board and blew my breaker. Returned it for a Safgard 1150. Installed that, no issues.

I will buy this product again.

This is a great product. I used it as replacement for older one. Other one lasted 8 years. I am hoping for trouble free another 8 years.

Easy to install and works well

Bought it for my new boiler install my old one did not have one. My town requires one. The new one did not have a port for it so had to mount it with a TEE fitting on the return pipe.

Q: what is the purpose and difference between a LWCO and a water feed regulator?

Low water cut-offs (LWCO) halt system operation when water levels fall too low in a boiler. They are safety devices which prevent excess flooding or boiler firing if a pipe bursts. Many areas require them by code. A water feed regulator adds small amounts of water to the system based on smaller changes in pressure. They account for water losses through air vents or minor leaks at connection points.

That unit is for water, not steam.
