Perfect Balance In-Door Return Air Pathway

This was placed at a bedroom door that was a secondary entrance to the bedroom. Right outside that door was a return, you can feel significant airflow from that bedroom to the return. Both the over door/wall vents and this door vent have not only helped with airflow, they have changed the quality of the air throughout the house, it's easier to breathe and my son has severe asthma and COPD, lighter cleaner air has made his ability to breathe significantly better ❤️

This greatly improves the air circulation in my home office. It would get very stuffy since I have the door closed and there are several computers in there. Now it stays comfortable all day.

I bought a vent and fit perfectly

Due to insufficient return air capacities, I was going to install three of these, one in each of our bedroom doors. I expected that one would not be able to see clear through the fill, and while I had read enough reviews to know the fill was cardboard, I didn't expect it to be just regular, uncoated fiber. The inside of cereal boxes is more refined than this material. Induced draft condenser drift eliminator material would cost pennies more and be a much better material for the application.

Purchased originally intending to install in the bottom portion of our bedroom door to allow greater return airflow. The vent was plastic yet affordable, so it was purchased. When it arrived and I inspected it, the entire inside baffling consisted of think corrugated strips of cardboard. Knowing the amount of dust, hair, etc likely to accumulate on the inside portion requiring cleaning either by brushing or flushing with compressed air made it apparent this product was not meant for prolonged normal usage. Rather than install it and see what happens, it was returned for a full and prompt refund. What does it say when cheap plastic lattice is replaced with thinner paper as baffling? The customer service was splendid in processing our return which was a bonus!

These provide air flow about equal to having door open 1-1/4 inch so you can experiment in advance of purchase. There is some loss of lower door rigidity with hollow doors because you excise the bottom solid wood bar. With extra work you can salvage the bar, chisel off the door facing and glue it back in the door above this ventilator. My 3 bathroom doors are only 24 inches wide so I had to cut about a 5 inch section out of these and line the two pieces up plus add 4 additional white headed short screws to secure ventilators. Too bad they do not offer optional shorter units. These could be sold for half the price and probably will be when the patent rights expire.

Easy to install and does the job its design for. The these door vents more enters the bedroom with the doors closed. Much better.
