An exclusive self-test mode provides worry-free operation, as it will always verify that the CO sensor is functioning anytime, anywhere, without the need for test gas. In addition, the self-check will ensure accurate CO measurements, without the need to "zero" out the unit in a fresh air environment.

Fireplace and CO alarm test
We use this to check our outside vented fireplace because the house CO alarm went off without apparent cause. Test of fireplace shows it does emit CO. We did not expect this. We will continue to monitor the CO during fires to determine if we have a hazardous level.
