Brand: Triangle Tube
In the use of a gravity recirculation loop with the excellence, placing a dip tube in the auxiliary and the return line to the auxiliary, will create a convection current that should have hot water to the appliances that are higher than the boiler. It is more effective to do this with a small pump to create a differential in pressure. But the gravity will operate. The hot water outlet will have to be a T outlet with a TP valve on the run of the tee and the hot water outlet on the bull. Be sure to have the correct TP valve for the unit.
Yes. Please see part number PTE110LP.
According to the Prestige Excellence manual (Rev 06/09/10) the recommended pH level is between 6.0 to 8.0.
Both the Triangle Tube Prestige Excellence 110 and the Solo 110 boilers have a minimum ph level of 6.0 as identified on Page 34 of the PE110 manual and page 56 of the Solo 110 manual. Hope that answers your question.
I would call Triangle Tube. They have very knowledgeable people there from what I can tell at my level. I purchased a ph kit to neutralize the water coming out of the system. I was not aware of a concern about the ph of the water entering the system & you have now peaked my curiosity. When you find
Yes, this boiler should be sufficient in that application.
This boiler comes with a wall bracket. You can vent it with CPVC or AL294C (stainless steel pipe).
The BTU load you need depends on many factors. You certainly may be able to get by with a smaller boiler (especially in a warmer climate), but we would recommend that you have a heat loss calculation performed on your house if you want to be sure. Our BTU Calculator ( http://www.pexsupply.com/pex/control/BTUCalculator ) may be a helpful resource, but a house as old as yours falls outside the norm.
The unit will function without any modifications, but you will need to de-rate its BTU input rating by 2% for every 1,000 feet above sea level.
The normal pressure for this unit is 12-22 psi.
This unit is 95% efficient, whereas an oil unit will only be 86% efficient.
You may use your chimney as a chase way for your venting.
