As someone who has used CO meters on the job in heavy industries for 46 years, and now use the Uei personal CO meter on home check out jobs etc; I find it easy to use and handy to have. I have experianced no problems with it. Now when I travel I pack it in my luggage its nice to know wherever I'm at if there is any CO danger.
Just don't stick it in you exhaust pipe the sensor will be ruined maxium CO reading this CO detector can handle is 0 to 999 ppm.
ASHRAE residential CO limits: 9 ppm maximum allowable in 24 hours in any living space. 35 ppm maximum allowable concentration for continuous exposure in any 8 hours period per federal law.
200 ppm maximum allowable concentration for any time according to OSHA
600-800 Death in 2-3 hours.
3200 ppm Death within 30 minutes.

great carbon monoxide detector
I bought this detector because I bought 2 propane heaters to check and see how much carbon monoxide they put out. This detecter works great my 2 small heaters andmy big propane heater put out very little carbon monoxide I researched detectors and this model seemed to be the most popular.
