LFDPTG-3 3" Pressure & Temperature Gauge (0-50 psi)

Great combination guage for pressure and temperature, with reasonable ranges for hydronic heating system. Mine came without the correct screw-in adaptor. It was not drilled in the center, so was unusable. I had an existing and re-used it. For a new installation, without spares, the adaptor would have been a failure.

This gauge sits at 8psi when disconnected. It finally makes sense why my boiler psi numbers where so inconsistent from day to day. I did like the size of the dial, it was easy to see and read.

This "WATTS" goes by many names and they are all garbage but the WATTS LFDPTG-3 is the most expensive. Percision is out of the question, best you can hope for is kind of accurate-ish. Want 2 side-by-side? Nope, its a cheap gauge and the stems are not even close to being true. Either the housing is offset or the stem is slightly bent, both quality issues when manufactured. People buy this garbage based on WATTS reputation, HI, I'm people. You've been warned and shame on WATTS with this money grabbing selfish act. I expect better from a name like WATTS. Very nice tridicator, excellent temperature and pressure ranges for residential boiler, makes measurement easy to read.

This gauge is monitoring the pressure in our home's hydronic heating system.

INSTALLED IN THE OUTPUT LINE OF MY GAS HOT WATER HEATER TO CHECK ON PRESSURE AND WATER TEMPERATURE .AT ANY GIVEN TIME IDEAL GAUGE FOR THIS PURPOSE .

I used gauge to test temperature regulator operation and operating pressure in a newly restored Clow Gasteam radiator (circa 1917 ). Tested safety relief valve as well.

Accurate instrument; large dial is easy to read.

Use it as a 2nd tridactor in a better position to read on my hydronic heating system. Like the big dial, easy to read.

After initially being installed with the included gauge well, the temperature gauge worked and the pressure gauge did not. What went wrong: The gauge was not screwed into the gauge well fitting far enough to open the o-ring seal of the gauge well to open. One more turn of the gauge opened the well to the boiler water and allowed the pressure gauge to work as expected. Having the temperature gauge work and no leaks present were misleading. Comment: Having the gauge well included by Watts in the gauge package is nice (it makes future changeouts very convenient by not requiring the boiler water to be drawn down), but Watts should include instructions as to the proper install of the gauge when using the well.
