Easy to install. Hope it helps.
The Weil-McClain boiler manual shows that using an external temperature sensor will modify the firing rate based on the difference between the actual outdoor temperature as well as other boiler temperatures. By using an actual temperature rather than the default outdoor temperature (-22F) the boiler should run more efficiently.
This was only installed a few weeks ago, so it will take at least the remainder of this winter season for me to know the extent to which it helped. It won't take much to pay for itself because the sensor and wire to install it was inexpensive, total cost less than $35.

Someone told me that this could save 10% on your gas bill by lowering the water temp of the boiler when it is warm outside. Very easy to install.
