You can use our quick and easy boiler calculator: http://www.pexsupply.com/pex/control/BTUCalculator It will take about 1 minute to complete and it will tell you the size boiler we recommend.
You will need an indirect water heater with this unit if you would like to use it to make your domestic hot water supply.
A heat loss should really be done on the house for the most accurate measurement. For 1500 square feet the Ultra 80 would be sufficient. If adding an additional 600 square feet, the Ultra 80 will most likely not be sufficient enough to heat the entire area.
Outdoor reset means that there is a sensor outside. The boiler will adjust depending on what the outside temperature is like. The colder it is outside, the more heat is produced, and the warmer it is outside, the less heat is produced. The domestic hot water priority standard means when you are using it for domestic purposes, the hot water will go to that zone first. For example, if you are taking a shower, the hot water will go to that shower first before any other zone. If you would like to use this for domestic hot water, you will need an indirect water heater also.
Yes, this boiler has a priority controller to allow use with an external domestic hot water heat exchanger. This boiler also comes with an outdoor sensor which will shut down the heating zones during warm weather
