The 2 year old ignition electrode in my Ultra 105 Gas Boiler was requiring two attempts in order to ignite the gas burner before the gas would continue to burn when the furnace chamber was cold. After installing a new inspection glass, it could easily be seen that the old ignition electrode had a weak spark. I had a new ignition electrode but not a new ignition electrode gasket. And, it is hard to reuse these graphite ignition electrode gaskets because they tend to fragment a bit when vary carefully removed from the used ignition electrode. So, I purchased four new electrode ignition gaskets which should last me a few years. With the new gasket and electrode installed, the gas boiler when cold fires up and stay burning on the 1st ignition attempt.
