We replaced several underrated Ambulance solenoids with this heavy duty 15v coil unit, the 12v coil in the old units are overheating and sometimes shorting or opening from continuous on condition, they are running cool and capable of the required current handling on the main contacts. Too bad the original upfitters didn't install these to start with

Q: Is this coil adjustable for voltage output? Using for 2 battery system. Second line is about 10ft long and using heavy welding cable for charging. Voltage at back battery is seldom over 13.2 volts and would like higher charge voltage into Optima battery.
