Looks great, conceals old "footprints"
I recently replaced my 3 thermostats with White-Rodgers 1F86-344 units (see my separate review). One reason I chose these thermostats is that they work with this Wall Plate, which is the only one I found large enough to completely conceal the footprints left by my old thermostats.
This plate is compatible with 1F87-361, 1F80-361, 1F86-344 and maybe others, but NOT with 1F80 blue display series, according to mfr's data. The plate itself is contoured to match the outline of the compatible thermostats (not square-cornered as shown in the photo), and also has the same color and texture.
The plate-thermostat combo has a clean, contemporary look that I really like - quite an improvement over what was there before!
