Had an old Woodford faucet with no model # on it and it was leaking every time the faucet was turned on. Searched online for a replacement but wasn't sure of the length. Was it a 12 or a 14 model ? Then ran across this repair kit and was kind of skeptical at first on buying it because of the one review that said it cut down on the flow of the water. Bought it anyway and was very easy to put together with the pictured diagram that they give you. Had it installed in less than 5 minutes, Works great and did not seem to have a decrease in the water flow. Also now, I know what Model my faucet is and what length the stem is. Size 12 - 13 & 7/ eighths. Thanks Supply House.

These Suck
I bought one of these about 2-1/2 years ago, and today it broke. Because of the design, it introduces multiple points of possible failure. Mine stripped at the extension from the blue shaft, which is splined, but wasn't strong enough to deal with a stuck faucet that didn't get used over the winter. I'll buy the proper length on in the future. Then you only have one point of possible failure.

Awesome!
Why didn't someone invent this 40 years ago?!

Easy to use
The instructions are pretty good, and it was easy to install. I knocked off a star because the water flow is definitely less, which makes sense because the shaft is a larger diameter than the non adjustable shafts. I didn't think it would be noticeable, but it is. I got this one because when I bought it I was unsure of which length I needed.
My biggest problem was getting the old one out, since the shaft attachment to the valve had stripped where the actual valve opens/closes at the far back of the faucet. I ended up using a socket wrench with a long extension and a large diameter screw extractor to unscrew the valve. Then a bit of water pressure forced it out of the tube. I did have to cap off the faucet (where water normally comes out) to create enough pressure to get the valve out. Hopefully this helps somebody with a similar issue.
