Bought my second unit after earlier unit displayed uncertain performance after several plug-ups. Never able to determine the true cause of plug-ups - excess paper, wrong paper, poor float action, or what. Became expert at removal and disassembly! The float on earlier unit appeared to require maximum water flush to trigger pump. Happy to see latest unit requires much less water flush and triggers pump quickly all the time. My fingers are crossed.

This pump is junk!

I bought the zoeller qwik jon about a year and a month ago and had issues with it not long after it was installed. Its started acting up with just the motor humming and getting warm about 3 months ago. I unplugged it for a day and plugged it back in and started working for a short time. I used the cheapest toliet paper and eventually just used it for the shower and sink until it eventually went out completely. I took it apart to diagnose the issue but all signs led to the motor. I bought this product from this site I believe in August 2018 and started having issue in September 2019. It wasnt actually installed until November 2018. So not even a full year out of it. I live alone so it wasnt over used. The company says theres nothing they can do because its a year warranty and its a little past a year. I would recommend this product and if this company helped me a little it wouldn't be so bad but they we useless. I'll be leaving this review on zoellers website too. Disappointed.

I would not recommend to anyone.

This model ( Zoller 202-1000) was installed over a year ago and we have had nothing but problems with the unit. This model is discontinued for some reason. Hmm .... We contacted customer service only to be told the warranty had expired. The problem was constant. We cannot use toilet paper without the float jamming up. The toilet over flowed more than once. We had to rip up vinyl flooring we installed. Am I supposed to believe the replacement unit will be any better. No, I would not recommend any products from this manufacturer. We are having plumber come out to replace the unit.

Great product and ships very fast

Easy installation and works very well. Kind of loud but it does the job. The only complaint is that if you plant to use all three intakes you have to drill the holes on the side intakes. This may be obvious however the only mention of it is the last page in a very small print. Overall I think it's a great product. Hard to find bad things to say about it.

I would buy this again, definitely.

Seems to work well so far. We did have some problems installing as the instructions were not well written. Supply House.com was fantastic. Product arrived promptly and intact. I am hoping that the Qwik Jon Ultima Grinder Tank will last longer than the last one which lasted 3 years. But for now it is working great.

I have 2 of these and they are junk.

We have 2 of the Zoeller Qwik Jon 202 pumps in our basement. Only used for toilet and shower. Both of them have failed float switches at least once. Have clogged float switches more than once, and a broken pump. And best of all, when the pump doesn't run, because Zoeller didn't bother to make the tank to lid seal actually leakproof, the entire contents of your bathtub will leak all over your house. I lost 400 square feet of wood flooring thanks to this design flaw.

Quick Jon Grinder tank Replacement

I have a Qwik Jon 202 grinder tank toilet in the basement. After 10 years the grinder tank motor died. Estimates for replacement through a plumbing company was expensive. So I found this wonderful site that allowed me to just order the tank and not the toilet. I removed the old tank and installed the new tank. It works perfect. I could have been a female plumber.

great product

This thing is great. It is very difficult to tear apart after someone flushes a baby wipe and it wraps around the cutter. and plugs the intake. Float will get caked up with poo and not function properly. Nasty job to clean that up. Mostly a great product.

The replacement pump for the Qwik Jon Grinder is part 017374 available here: http://www.supplyhouse.com/Zoeller-017374-N202-Replacement-Pump-w-Discharge-Pipe

Q: I have this product and the pump motor spins at a very low speed and will not discharge any of the water. Already checked the discharge pipe for blockage and pulled the pump out to check for anything wrapped around the grinder. Do I need a new pump???

It is hard to say without being there to check for other issues. We would suggest consulting with a local plumber to determine exactly what is going on.

You may be overloading the unit, check with the product specifications to confirm your head level for discharge of the water out of the basement and the combined gpm flow of the fixtures. http://s3.pexsupply.com/manuals/1309965579251/57148_PROD_FILE.pdf

Q: I have a lav. tied into the bottom of the tank, and air bubbles into the toliet bowl when water is running into the lav. Seems to have a slight delay before pump kicks in. Can you help.

Please check your venting to ensure that it is not clogged.

Also, the vent has to be run to the atmosphere. There cannot be any type of pro-vent, studor vent, any type of automatic vent device, or wet vent used. This has to have a dry vent going to the atmosphere. Changing the vent could fix the issue.

No you cannot use a normal bottom flush toilet with the Zoeller Qwik Jon 202 Ultima Grinder Tank. The 202 model is used specifically for the Zoeller toilet.

Q: Can you remove the top to see if anything stuck under grinder ?

Yes you can remove the lid as well as the pump if you needed to see if there was something stuck but normally if there was something stuck the system wouldn't shut off or it would be really loud and maybe vibrate like a washing machine on a spin cycle that is not balanced.
